It's so sad that a student of the university of Port Harcourt named Peter Ofurum, who was said to be the Faculty President of Management Sciences,(pictured below), was allegedly shot dead by the police during the protest by the students earlier.
The students allege that police officers brought in to maintain law and order during their protest, fired gunshots at them, which hit the deceased, killing him. Angry students destroyed the school's and resident lecturers properties, in protest of his death. the school has since been shut down. More photos below...
