A Benue State University 21-year-old female final year student, Joan Adaku, was yesterday found dead in a hotel at the Low Level area roundabout in Makurdi, the state capital. The late Economics undergraduate is said to have checked into the 1-storey Savannah Guest House at 7:00am after paying for a room. According to reports, she didn’t come out of the room again to ask for anything. At about 6pm, a room attendant knocked on her door to find out if she had any request to make but there was no response. This was repeated again at 8pm and at this point, the attendant had to alert the management.It was then the management called in the police who broke into the room to discover her body in a position that suggested she was on a phone call, foaming from the nose. Her remains have since been deposited at the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi.
