5 Students Expelled From The University Of Ilorin

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) Kwara State of Nigeria, has expelled five students from the institution for alleged acts of academic misconduct.

According to our reports, the Disciplinary Committee of the institution said after due consideration of all evidence before it, it was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that the allegation of misconduct was established against the students.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University Of Ilorin, Prof. Abdul Ganiyu Ambali, in an interview with Newsmen and journalists on Tuesday, confirmed the expulsion of the students, stating reasons why the students were expelled. According to the Vice Chancellor, before any student could graduate from the University, such student must have been found worthy in learning and character. He also added that, students are being monitored from their first day on the campus till the last day. Besides, he said the university believed in upholding the rule of law. “We have various committees put in place to checkmate excesses of either the students or the staff. We have rules and regulations guiding the conducts of staff and students on campus.” He said. Hmmm...
